Padmanabhapuram Palace
Padmanabhapuram Palace is located at Thuckalay in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. The Palace was built in 1601 AD and is famous for its elaborate craftsmanship and architecture. It was the seat of power for the rulers of Travancore during 17th century till 1790, when the capital was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram.

Day 01: Arrival at Thiruvananthapuram

Day 02: Thiruvananthapuram
After early breakfast, depart for The Palace, which is two and half hour's drive from Thiruvananthapuram on the highway to Kanyakumari. Reach Padmanabhapuram Palace at 10.00 am. You will be allowed to explore the palace of your own, or you may take assistance of our learned tourist guides also. As soon as you enter the palace, a big brass lamp hanging from the magnificently carved wooden ceiling would greet you. 17th century built black bed of seven granite stones is housed in the hall. The ceiling of the palace is carved with 90 varieties of flowers.
