Thai Poosam festival is dedicated fully to Lord Murugan who is the son of main God Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Thaipusam Festival is celebrated by the people on the full moon day. Thaipusam Festival refers to Tamil month of Thai and Poosam is the one of the important stars. This festival is celebrated in remembrance of the day when Goddess Parvathi gifted a Vel - Spear to the Lord Murugan to destroy the demon who was troubling Yaskshas and Saints. During the festival people offer milk in Pots and carry Kaavadi to get more blessings from Lord Murugan who makes their life happier The festival is celebrated all over the Tamilnadu; Palani is the famous destination where it's celebrated grandly. You have to travel towards Palani to witness the Thai Poosam festival & offer prayer to Lord Murugan who brings good health, wealth & everything to you.
Day 01: Madurai to Palani (110 Kms & 2.5 hours drive)

Sightseeing of Madurai includes Alagar temple - dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Palamuthir solai Murugan temple - one of a six abodes of Lord Murugan, later evening visit Meenakshi temple, overnight stay at Madurai

Visit Thirumalai Nayakar palace, later on you will be transferred to Madurai Airport, depending upon your flight schedule
