Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park
Mudumalai Bird Sanctuary is located in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, 65 km away from Ootacamund town on the Ooty-Mysore Road. It is spread over an area of 321 km and boasts of rich varieties of birds and animals species. Nearest airport to the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary is Coimbatore, which is 161 km away. Our two days long itinerary for Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is provided below:
Day 01 : Arrival at Coimbatore
We will warmly welcome you on your arrival at Coimbatore Airport or railway station. You will be escorted to a nearby hotel accommodation. Change and freshen up yourself. Rest of the day will be yours. Have your lunch and enjoy sightseeing of the city. Do some shopping in local markets and collect some curios.
Day 02 :
You will be driven to Mudumalai Bird Sanctuary (National Park) in our air conditioned car or bus. The Wildlife sanctuary (Mudumalai National Park) is home to several exotic and endangered species of birds like buzzards, harriers, king vultures, hawks, golden neck falcons, mynah, bulbul, parrots, weaver birds, hornbills, kingfisher, pigeons etc. Enjoy the chirping of the birds and relax in the lap of nature. Capture some beautiful pictures of the dancing peacocks and colourful birds. The Mudumalai bird sanctuary also has a rich stock of wild animals like Chital, Bonnet, Sloth Bear, four horned antelope, giant flying squirrel, hynah, barking deer, elephants, tigers and leopards. Lunch will be held in Mudumalai Bird Sanctuary restaurant. You will be driven back to your hotel in late evening for dinner.
