Anamalai National Park
Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Pollachi, 10 km from Peelamedu airport in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. The Anamalai national Park is spread over 958 sq km area. The best months to visit the sanctuary are from October to February, and May to June, when the temperature of the Anamalai national Park remains comfortable both for the animals and humans.
02 Day Itinerary for Anamalai National Park tour
Day 01 : Arrival at Coimbatore
You will be warmly welcomed by Tamilnadu Tourism representatives on your arrival at Coimbatore Airport. You will be escorted to your hotel. Change and relax. Rest of the day is yours. Have dinner and be prepared to visit the Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary early next day.
Day 02 : Visit to Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
You will be driven in our air conditioned cab or bus to Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary in Pollachi. Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over an area of 958 sq km. It would be nice if you dress yourself in dull colours, and wear sneaker shoes with cotton socks. You should also take torch, wear head gear and have repellents and leech lotions in your travel kit. Explore the rich flora and fauna of the sanctuary, prominent ones among them are crocodiles, Civet Cat, Flying Squirrel, Pangolin, Drongo, Red Tree Pie, Whiskered Bulbul, Black Headed Oriole, elephants, guar, sloth bear, panthers, wild dog etc.
Anamalai national park also has grass hills, teak forests, reservoirs, shoals, dams and waterfalls. All this will provide you good background to capture few memorable photos and videos. Lunch will be held in the wildlife sanctuary itself. Return back to your hotel in the night, change and have dinner. Take morning flight back to your home town.
